FDM 3D Printer FAQs  1.        No extruding when print starts R1. Extruder not well prepared before printing        Most extruders will leak when they are travel at high temperature. The filament is about to leak and this will lead to an empty part inside the nozzle. This empty part may occur during you first pre heating the extruder or extruder cooling down. If extruder loss some filament, it needs a few seconds for filament extruding. So we must take care of the delay before we start printing. You can add skirt in Cura (Simplify3d has same function too). The skirt will print a circle first. This enables the extruder fulfilled with filament. If you need extra filament, you could add skirt numbers. Someone likes to pre-extrude with touch screen. R2.  Nozzle too close to print bed          Nozzle will be stocked by printed bed if too close. The first few layers not build, but since then it starts extrude, that would be this reason. Slightly raise nozzle can solve the problem
Jenny LCD 3D Printer Resin FAQs 1.   Resin Viscosity gets higher, and will this affect the printing?    Exploding in UV or sunlight; ambient temperature becomes low; or stock resin in a room the air conditioner working. All these will lead to viscosity become higher. Please store and print between 20-30 degrees C. 2.  There are white residue on resin models after post curing    The resin residues are not cleaned well.     The alcohol purity is not enough or cleaned by water. Please clean resin model by  ≥ 95% alcohol and make sure the residue are cleaned.     Please dry up resin models with lint free wiper or hair conditioner. 3.   Resin models get soft and distortion    Cleaning time is too long. We suggest cleaning with  ≥ 95% alcohol within 60s.    Please dry the resin model and post cuing by UV chamber or sunlight.    sure every side of the model is cured until model is dry and strong enough. 4.   There are breaks or holes on resin models at sa

How to clean up the resin model

How to clean up the resin model 1.     Remove resin model from build plate with spatulas. Please wait the remaining liquid resin drop down. 2.      Wash the resin model with 95% purity alcohol. 3.      Wash the resin model again with 95% purity alcohol in new container. Use brush to clean the resin off. Use alcohol spraying bottle clean the small instructions. Wash the model again until it's clean. 4.       Dry up the resin model with lint free wiper  and hair conditioner.   Tips: If the model is difficult to remove with spatulas. You can try softening the build layers with hair conditioner. 5.      Please post curing the resin model immediately by cuing chamber or sunlight. Make sure every side is shined until whole model is dry and strong enough. Post curing can enable the model with better physical and mechanical properties. 3D printing Tips

How to build a great first layer The first layer for 3d printing is very important. With bad first layer, the whole printing will fail. Here are some tips may help us make better first layer. 1.   Build plate leveling    Keep a good distance between nozzles and build plate. Too close, the nozzle will scratch the plate; too far, the first layer won’t stick to plate. We could put an A4 paper on build plate, and then move the nozzle on it. Pull the paper out without damage the paper and strength. Test: print a model first to check if first layer is ok and if the print could be finished well. 2.   Set 5 ℃ higher for the first layer    Higher temperature will fully melt the filament and make it stickier. This helps the first layer stick to build plate well. Based on our experience, 5 ℃ would be good. 3.   Slow down the print speed     Slow printing speed will reduce the strings when nozzles extrude filament. We suggest 30%-50% of the normal speed.
